These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern access to and use of MinuFlow.com, MinuFlow accounts, focus tools, timers, sounds, backgrounds and related services (collectively, the “Service”). MinuFlow provides the Service described in these Terms (“MinuFlow,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By using the Service or creating an account, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the Service.

1. Who may use MinuFlow

The browser-local Focus workspace may be used without an account. Account registration requires control of an email address and acceptance of these Terms and the Privacy Policy. We do not collect a date of birth. MinuFlow is a general productivity and study service and is not designed specifically for children.

You may create or use an account only to the extent permitted by applicable law where you live.

MinuFlow is a general productivity and study tool. It is not a school, tutoring, medical, mental-health or emergency service and is not affiliated with a user’s school unless we expressly state otherwise.

2. Accounts

You agree to provide an email address you control, keep your credentials secure and contact [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity through your account except where applicable law provides otherwise.

You may not sell, transfer, share, automate abuse of or misuse an account. We may temporarily limit or suspend access when reasonably necessary to prevent fraud, abuse, security risks, nonpayment or a material violation of these Terms.

Email and Google sign-in are alternative ways to access the same standard MinuFlow account. Linking Google requires a matching verified email and an explicit action from the signed-in member. We do not silently merge accounts based only on a matching email.

3. Browser-local data and optional Workspace Sync

Free and Trial Tasks, Notes, settings, favorites and focus history remain in the browser where they were created. Signing out, closing an account, changing devices or clearing browser data may leave, hide or erase local information independently of the account. The local Backup feature creates a device-held file only when requested.

Eligible members with a Premium subscription or complimentary Premium access may separately turn on Workspace Sync. Buying, receiving or signing in to Premium does not turn it on automatically. When enabled, supported settings, theme and music favorites, Tasks, Notes, daily goal, quote preferences and up to five saved YouTube video-background links may follow the account across devices. Running timers, remaining timer time and current media playback are excluded.

Turning Workspace Sync off stops later synchronization but does not automatically delete the existing server copy. Eligible synchronized data can be handled through the verified privacy-erasure process. MinuFlow may temporarily disable sync for maintenance, security, privacy or product reasons without removing the local Free workspace.

4. Focus Stats

A Premium subscription or complimentary Premium access may include synchronization of new completed focus-session facts. Existing browser history is not uploaded automatically. After a Trial ends, a later eligible Premium member may be offered an optional import limited to completed sessions from that recorded Trial window in the same browser. Nothing is imported unless the member chooses Import Trial history.

Completed timer records describe timer use. They do not prove attention, attendance, academic progress, productivity or work performance.

5. Custom and video backgrounds

Eligible members with a Premium subscription or complimentary Premium access may upload one private custom-background image, subject to the displayed file type and size limits, and may save up to five public YouTube video links for use as backgrounds. You represent that you have the right to use uploaded material and that it is lawful and safe.

YouTube videos stream from YouTube only when selected and remain subject to YouTube’s terms, privacy practices, availability, advertising and technical limits. MinuFlow does not host or remove advertising from YouTube content. MinuFlow may remove custom material that creates a security, legal or operational risk.

6. Free service, Trial and Premium

The browser-local Free workspace is available without an account. A new verified account receives one seven-day Premium Trial without a card. The Trial does not become a paid subscription and does not charge automatically.

Premium Monthly costs $4.99 per month and Premium Annual costs $39.99 per year, in US dollars. Both paid subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. Checkout shows the amount due, any applicable tax, billing period, renewal terms and cancellation method before you authorize payment.

If you authorize Monthly with a card during an active account Trial, the first $4.99 payment is due at the original end of that Trial. The fourteen-day refund window begins when the first paid Premium charge occurs. Annual charges $39.99 at checkout and then renews annually until canceled.

We will not convert a Free user or card-free Trial into a paid subscriber without clear affirmative authorization. We provide renewal and price-change notices when required by applicable law.

7. Complimentary access

MinuFlow may provide controlled one-month or one-year Premium offers that end after the stated period. A complimentary offer does not create a subscription, request a card or renew automatically. When the granted period ends, the account returns to Free unless its owner separately buys a paid plan.

Complimentary codes are private promotional offers rather than public plans. Eligibility, expiration, one-use and product restrictions shown with an offer apply. Codes have no cash value and may not be resold, transferred for value or obtained through fraud.

School pilot inquiries

Schools may apply through the separate Schools inquiry form. Sending an inquiry does not create an account, activate Premium or guarantee a place. If a school joins the pilot, up to 10 teachers at that school get MinuFlow Premium free for one semester. There is no cost, no contract and no card. Students still do not need accounts. When the pilot ends, teachers keep the Free plan, and nothing is billed automatically. We ask for two short check-ins: one halfway through and one at the end. Each takes about 15 minutes, by video call or a short form. We are starting with a small number of schools this school year, so we can support each one well. School pricing has not been set; the classroom timer is free, and school pricing will be based on what we learn from these pilots.

8. Cancellation, account closure and refunds

You can cancel a paid subscription online through My Account > Plan & billing or contact [email protected]. Cancellation stops future renewal charges and generally keeps Premium active through the paid period unless a refund ends that period or applicable law requires otherwise.

Account closure and subscription cancellation are separate actions. Requesting account deletion does not automatically cancel a paid subscription, clear browser-local data or remove transaction records we must retain. Eligible synchronized Workspace and Focus Stats data and a private custom-background image can be handled through the verified personal-data erasure process.

A full refund is available within fourteen days after the first paid Premium charge, as explained in the Refund and Cancellation Policy. Renewal charges and later payments are generally nonrefundable except for duplicate charges, verified billing errors or rights provided by applicable law.

9. Acceptable use

You may use MinuFlow only for lawful personal, educational or business productivity purposes. You may not:

  • interfere with the Service or bypass security or access controls;
  • probe, scrape, overload, reverse engineer or redistribute the Service except where law expressly permits it;
  • upload or transmit malicious code or unlawful material;
  • impersonate, harass, exploit or harm another person;
  • misuse accounts, access codes, refunds or payment systems; or
  • use MinuFlow in a way that infringes another person’s rights.

10. Sounds, backgrounds and third-party services

Sounds, music, images, backgrounds and integrations may be supplied by MinuFlow or third parties. Availability can change because of licensing, technical or provider requirements.

The Service may link to or use services such as Google, YouTube, Spotify, Cloudflare, WordPress, WooCommerce and Stripe. Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. YouTube content may include advertising, and MinuFlow does not block or modify advertisements served through the official YouTube player. MinuFlow is not responsible for services it does not control.

11. Intellectual property

MinuFlow and its original software, design, branding and content are owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms grant a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Service. They do not transfer ownership.

12. Availability and changes

Account and Premium features may initially operate as a public beta. We may improve, modify, limit, suspend or discontinue features for maintenance, security, legal, licensing or product reasons. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, permanent availability of a particular sound or background, or continuous synchronization.

Changes affecting an active paid period will be handled under the purchase terms and applicable law.

13. Disclaimer

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” MinuFlow does not guarantee academic results, productivity outcomes, uninterrupted access or that the Service will meet every user’s needs. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot legally be excluded.

14. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MinuFlow and its owner, contractors and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill or opportunities arising from the Service.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, total liability for claims relating to the Free Service will not exceed $100. Liability for a paid claim will not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount paid to MinuFlow during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law and do not waive non-waivable consumer rights.

15. Ending use or an account

You may stop using the Service at any time and may request account closure through account controls or [email protected]. Closure requests require identity confirmation and administrative review. Closing an account does not clear browser-local data and does not automatically cancel a paid subscription.

We may suspend or terminate access for fraud, abuse, security threats, nonpayment or material breach. Where reasonable, we will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where the mandatory consumer-protection laws of your location apply. Courts with lawful jurisdiction may hear disputes unless applicable law requires another process or location. These Terms do not add a mandatory arbitration or class-action waiver.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as MinuFlow changes. We will post revised Terms and update the effective date. We will provide additional notice or obtain additional consent when required for a material change. Continued use after revised Terms take effect constitutes acceptance only to the extent permitted by law.
