One hour, one clear intention

Make space to go deeper.

A one-hour timer gives a longer study or work block a clear end point. Use it for a reading session, project work or independent practice. Pick a realistic goal and keep any materials you need close by.

  1. Choose a goal for the hour and prepare your workspace.
  2. Press Start timer. Pause whenever you need a break.
  3. When the alarm sounds, save your work and note the next useful step.

The display starts at 60:00: sixty minutes is one hour. You do not have to work without stopping; the pause control lets you take a break without losing the remaining time. Keep your device awake if you need the alarm.

A few useful answers.

Why does a one-hour timer start at 60:00?

60:00 means sixty minutes and zero seconds: exactly one hour. Keeping the display in minutes and seconds makes the remaining time easy to compare as the countdown continues.

Do I have to work for the whole hour without a break?

No. Pause whenever you need to. A paused break extends the wall-clock time needed to finish the countdown. If your goal is to stop one hour after starting, leave it running through the break.

Will the one-hour alarm sound if my laptop sleeps?

Do not rely on it while the device is asleep. Keep the device awake and the page open, and test the sound before starting. The timer catches up to its finish time when the browser resumes, but the alarm may be delayed.

Can I switch tabs during a longer study block?

Yes. The countdown uses its finish time rather than counting individual screen updates. It catches up when you return. Browser suspension can still delay the alarm, so keep this page available if timing matters.
